Our youngest tamariki are supported within our dedicated Koru learning space, designed as a calm, nurturing, and secure environment for children from 6 months to 2 years old. We understand that beginning childcare can be a big step for both children and families, so our experienced teachers provide gentle, responsive care while following each child’s individual routines, needs, and pace.

Unlike traditional room-based settings, our little ones are not limited to one area of the centre. While the Koru space provides a familiar “safe haven” whenever children need comfort, rest, or quieter moments, they are also free to explore other areas of our learning environment alongside older children. This allows them to experience a wider range of activities, relationships, and real-world learning opportunities while still having a secure place to return to.

Through sensory play, exploration, stroller walks, outdoor experiences, and meaningful interactions with teachers and peers, children build confidence, curiosity, and strong relationships in a warm and responsive environment where every child is valued and supported.
